Bonk Tanks is made by Kabe. We collect as little as possible. You never type your name, email or any other personal details into the game, and there are no ads and no tracking.

What is stored on your device

Your progress (stars, coins, unlocked tanks, settings, your base design) is saved on your device. Deleting the app or clearing the browser's site data removes it.

What our server keeps

When you play online (raids, random battles, rooms with friends), the game creates an anonymous player account: a random number, a secret key, and a random name the game picks for you (for example “Brave Badger 42”). The server stores that account, your trophy count, the base layout you designed (so other players can raid it), and short records of raids and matches. It does not know who you are.

Online battles

To play live, two devices connect to each other directly when they can. To set this up, your device's IP address is shared with the other player's device and with public connection servers run by Cloudflare and Google (STUN). When a direct link isn't possible, the game messages pass through our server and are deleted within about 15 minutes. Our web host keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page) for security.

Purchases

Purchases in the iPhone app are made through Apple. We never see your payment details; Apple only tells the app what you bought.

Children

The game has no chat and no free text, and we don't collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

Write to info@bonktanks.com with your player name (shown on the title screen) and we will delete your online account and base.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
